Professor Kevin Moore | HPB (Hepatobiliary & Pancreatic) Medicine, Hepatology
As Professor of Hepatology, UCL, Royal Free London Foundation Trust, Professor Moore has over twenty years of experience as a consultant working in liver transplantation and general hepatology, and as such has a wealth of experience in liver disease. Professor Moore is also qualified in Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics, hence he also runs the Drugs Review Service. Furthermore, he also works as a general physician, and still undertakes acute medical takes. Prof. Moore co-wrote the Oxford Handbook of Acute Medicine, as well as the Oxford Desk Reference of Acute Medicine. Thus, although he practices primarily as a hepatologist, his role as general physician enables him to have a much wider perspective on all patients seen.
As a hepatolologist he sees patients with a wide range of liver diseases, and has a strong background in all aspects of general hepatology including alcohol misuse disorders, fatty liver disease as well as experience of looking after liver transplant patients.
Professor Moore trained at King's College London. He has a BSc and PhD in biochemistry. He is in on the Specialist register for gastroenterology but only sees Liver patients. He is also on the specialist register for Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics, as well as General Internal Medicine. As a Clinical Pharmacologist Professor Moore is happy to see patients to review their medication
Professor Moore sees patients at the Royal Free, Hadley Wood Hospital in Barnet, the Princess Grace and the Wellington.
