Where possible we will accommodate requests to see specific doctors. You can of course specify to see your preferred doctor by checking their availability and booking online. 

We have a team of doctors that will become familiar to you – each Doctor has their own specialist area to help meet the overall health needs of you and your family.

Your Doctor try to offer a same day GP service dedicated to helping you with any health problem. We always leave slots available for same-day appointments. You can view appointment availability and book online 24 hours a day.

If you feel there is a medical emergency please dial 999 and call for an ambulance.

Appointment slots are very valuable. If you need to cancel an appointment please advise us at least 4 hours before your appointment – either by cancelling online or by phone. Appointments cancelled after this time may be charged at the surgery’s discretion.

Telephone or even video consultations are included as part of the membership packages. However, these appointments can also be booked on a pay-as-you-go basis at the 15 minute appointment rate. Again these appointments can be selected and booked online.

Patients can order repeat medications via the patient portal or by calling us to make a request. At Your Doctor we endeavour to process your requests within 4 hours however, requests made after 4pm may not be processed until the following working day.

We will always do our best to accommodate your request for a preferred doctor. You can select an appointment with your choice of doctor online.

The service is available to both members and pay-as-you-go patients. In order to get the most out of your private GP care we do encourage membership which bring both cost advantages but also the benefits of fostering a relationship with your doctor to enhance your care experience.

You can register by following the prompts on the membership page of the website or by phoning or visiting us at the surgery and speaking to one of our dedicated members of staff.

Yes, we highly recommend that you keep your registration with your usual NHS GP.

We welcome temporary residents and visitors from abroad who need to see a GP or require a specialist referral.

Patients can visit or register with the service from all across the UK. However, home visits are restricted to a 7 mile radius from our surgery sites and are at the doctors discretion.

Attending a Consultation

Any information you can bring with you helps our Doctors. Details of significant medical history, current medications or any family history all helps with your treatment plan.

The only people who will have access to your health records are you and the appropriate members of the surgery team. If you choose to share your records with your NHS GP then they will also have access to them.

With your consent we can share your notes with your GP but it’s your choice. In some cases it is our duty to inform your NHS GP of elements of your care for your safety. Your doctor will advise you if this is the case.

You can choose either a 15 minute of 30 minute consultation. In some cases the doctor will advise of the length of time required determined by the nature of the appointment.

If the GP feels that referral is required for further tests or specialist care, we can access an extensive list of consultants including specialists in Cardiology, Ophthalmology, Gynaecology, Orthopaedics, Ear Nose and Throat (ENT) and Gastroenterology. One main advantage of visiting us is that referral letters are usually sent on the same day. If you have private medical insurance you will need to check with your insurer that you are covered for the cost of tests or treatment, or alternatively that you have funds in place to pay for it yourself


As a member, the cost of consultations will be covered by your membership. 

For pay-as-you-go patients, a £25 deposit will need to be paid upfront either via our online booking system or over the phone. A 15 minute appointment is £69.99 and a 30 minute appointment is £119.99.

The only additional costs that will be applicable on the day are for any tests or medications that are required during the appointment. These will be paid for after your appointment.

We accept cash and all major credit cards excluding American Express, and payments can also be made through Apple Pay.

All health insurance packages are different. Please refer to your policy to check for primary care GP cover.

We provide private prescriptions, rather than an NHS prescription. This is unlikely to be significantly more than an NHS prescription cost, and in some cases, is less.

Membership Queries

On signing up for a Your Doctor membership you commit for a minimum period of 12 months. After this time you can cancel your membership at any time with 30 days notice.

You can upgrade your membership at any time. Your membership upgrade will be effective immediately and your payments will be adjusted accordingly.

Informing Your Doctor

To be able to make a thorough assessment, your GP may need to know about your sleeping and eating habits and daily activities (including sex life), if you smoke, take drugs and if you drink alcohol. A health questionnaire will be completed to provide the doctor with this information.

If something in your life has caused you stress or sadness, or you are feeling very anxious you should tell your doctor. Divorce, grieving or major family or work problems can all be examples of this. 

We would also like you to keep you patient profile up to date with the correct phone number and address details so we can contact you easily.

Feedback and Complaints

We are continually aiming to improve our service in any way possible, to provide high levels of patient satisfaction. We would like to hear from you, and would be grateful if you could complete our GP service patient questionnaire.

We sincerely hope that you never have cause to complain about the service, however, is such a situation arises please outline your concerns in writing to the surgery address.
