Tests and Treatment

Blood Tests & Treatment

A full range of investigative blood and immunology tests are available at our clinic to help aid diagnosis, or to put your mind at rest. There are a number of reasons why you may require a blood test, therefore our doctors require a consultation with you before any tests are carried to. They will fully discuss the tests and their price with you prior to ordering any tests. Where possible, we provide a quick next-day results service, and if appropriate, your results will be available to you through your own dedicated patient portal.

Mental Health

Evidence from the World Health Organisation (WHO) suggests that nearly half of the world's population are affected by mental illness which can impact their self-esteem, relationships and ability to function in everyday life. This in turn affects our physical health and can lead to further medical problems.

If you are concerned about your or a family member’s mental health, then do get in contact to see how we can help.

Musculoskeletal Injury

The causes of musculoskeletal pain or discomfort are varied and can be the result of just the wear and tear of daily activities, or as a result of repetitive movements, overuse, changes in posture, poor body mechanics or prolonged immobilisation. Trauma to an area such as falls, fractures, sprains, dislocations and blows to the muscle can also cause musculoskeletal pain, strain or discomfort.

Your doctor will conduct a thorough physical examination and take a detailed medical history, and may perform diagnostic studies to confirm the diagnosis. In some cases nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories (NSAIDs) may be used to treat inflammation or pain. The medical expert that you see can also make speedy referrals to a network of trusted private consultants.

Sexual Health Advice & Testing

We offer a private, discreet and trusted sexual health service including screenings for all the main sexually transmitted infections (STIs) including HIV, Chlamydia, Gonorrhoea and Hepatitis B and C, for your health and sexual wellbeing.

We also offer you the opportunity to discuss your concerns and test results with an experienced GP who can offer comprehensive advice and support. Every consultation is in strict confidence: no information will be transferred to your NHS GP unless you request it.

Many STIs, such as chlamydia and gonorrhoea, can be treated easily with antibiotics. Others, such as herpes simplex infection, can be managed in a way that will decrease symptoms and reduce the risk of transmission.

All tests will be sent to our excellent laboratory which speedily accesses the latest diagnostic methods, and means you won’t be kept waiting unnecessarily for your results to come through. Sometimes additional tests or re-testing at a later date may be recommended.

Please note, we are unable to carry out family planning procedures such as coil fitting or removal, and pregnancy terminations.
